Marty Knight serves as a missionary and church leadership resource through Levy Mission Evangelism, a ministry of the Levy Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He obeyed the gospel on January 1, 1975 and has served faithfully since. His broad range of experience within the Lord’s church includes serving as both an elder and deacon for multiple churches in central Arkansas. He has led and participated in the planting of churches in both the U.S. and Romania. He began preaching in 1982 at the age of 20 and served as the pulpit minister for two different congregations. He has worked closely with four different Romanian churches since 1997.
Following a successful 43-year career as a business leader and executive, Marty transitioned to full-time ministry in 2024. His work as a professional provided him with comprehensive experience in leading large-scale project teams; the definition and execution of strategic plans; enterprise-level program management; use of the Birkman Method® in developing leaders and teams; and organizational change and business transformation initiatives.
Marty holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Capella University, as well as an Advanced Masters Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He has held the Project Management Professional (PMP®) since 2003 and has been a Certified Consultant with Birkman International since 2003.
He and his wife, Lisa, have been married since 1984. They reside in central Arkansas, along with their two daughters and sons-in-law and three grandchildren, all of whom are faithful Christians.
Ted Knight began preaching the gospel in February 1959 and continues to do so today. He and his late wife, Barbara, did local work with nine different congregations in Indiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and their native Arkansas. Following a 32-year period of working as a pulpit minister and serving 10 years as an elder for the church in Greenbrier, Arkansas, he transitioned to full-time evangelism and mission work in 1991. He and Barbara traveled to 32 states preaching the gospel.
In June 1995, they made their first mission trip to Pitesti, Romania and began a work in Eastern Europe that continues to this day. Since 2007, Ted has provided leadership for the work being done with the church in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Ted and Barbara are natives of Craighead County, Arkansas where they were grew up as childhood sweethearts. They married in July 1958 and were blessed with two children, a son and daughter. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. All of their descendants are faithful Christians.
Barbara passed away in October 2022 following a courageous five-year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Ted is the author of the book, "My Journey with the Devil's Disease: Lessons I Learned Through My Lady's Struggle with Alzheimer's," recounting their experience with this dreadful disease.
